Zimi joins forces with Australia’s tech industry leaders
Zimi is pleased to announce its membership in the Tech Council of Australia. Joining Australia’s leading technology companies, with a shared vision to develop this critical sector in our nation’s growth.
Launched in August, The Tech Council of Australia (TCA) provides a trusted voice for Australia’s technology industry and comprises the full spectrum of tech companies. It aims to advise and engage with Australian governments, businesses and the wider community to help support the ongoing creation, development, and adoption of technology across industries.
Zimi joins to help with key industry issues such as encouraging growth, investment, exports and jobs in the Australian tech ecosystem.
By 2030, tech sector activity has the potential to contribute more to gross domestic product (GDP) in Australia than primary industries or manufacturing.
The TCA has set the biggest and most urgent risk to the goal of employing one million people in tech sector jobs by 2025 as acute labour shortages facing the tech sector. That means we must act now to ensure we can fill the new tech jobs we’re creating in Australia over the next four years.
New members to the TCA include; WiseTech Global, Seek and REA, plus fast-growing Australian tech companies, such as Airwallex, Brighte, Finder, Envato, Nearmap, Go1, Open Learning and Rokt, and leading global firms such as AWS, LinkedIn and Docusign. This is a fantastic opportunity for Zimi to get to know these tech companies better.
Zimi CEO Brett Savill said “we look forward to working with the TCA to focus on initiatives that support the growth of Australia’s tech sector.”
